I Can't Get Into the Site FAQ

First, are you a PICS member? If not, visit the calendar page and attend our next meeting.  We'll give you the passphrase that you need to register.  Most of the time, we can sign you up and get you logged in on the spot.

Sometimes your password and login can fail, or you don't remember one or both of them.  Bottom line: you used to be able to get in, and now you can't.  Here's what to do:

Make sure you registered on THIS redesigned site. Passwords from Image Folio, smugmug, and the previous PICS site do NOT carry over into this one.  Email webteam(at)saddlebackpics.com if you don't know the passphrase to sign up, or if you're unsure whether or not you've registered on this new site.  We've only started using the blue stars background and the passphrase box with this site, so if you've never seen either of them, chances are you need to re-register.  Email webteam(at)saddlebackpics.com, we'll verify your PICS membership, and email you the passphrase you need to self-register.  The whole process shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, once you have the passphrase.

Did you forget part of your login? Try one of these links:
Forgot your password? - give your registered email account, and it will give you an email with a security code.  Note: administrators CANNOT retrieve your password, and administrators will NEVER need to ask you for your password.  The only way to get a lost password is through your own email box.  Email webteam(at)saddlebackpics.com if you tried these two methods and still can't get your password.
Forgot your username? - give your registered email account, and it will email you back
In either case, an email will be sent to you.  Follow the directions, and you should be able to get it.
If you have your username AND you have your password, and you STILL cannot get in, then there is probably something wrong with your web browser.  Most likely, one of the temporary files used by this site has become corrupted on your computer.  Not to worry, all you'll need to do is to clear a couple of things.
  1. First, clear your cache.  (show me how)  Then try logging in. 
    Still no luck?
  2. Second, delete your site cookies.  (show me how)   Then try logging in again.  (WARNING: deleting ALL cookies will generally remove the "remember me" settings on all your websites.  If you can, delete only the ones from www.saddlebackpics.com and/or beta.saddlebackpics.com)
If you've tried ALL of these steps above, and you still can't get in, then email webteam (at) saddlebackpics (dot) com for help.  Give us your first and last name, and your user account and password as you best remember them.  We'll usually answer you within 48 hours.
